Only Arizona stop on tour of 375-foot replica Vietnam Memorial is at Lake Pleasant

The Wall that Heals made a grand entrance into Lake Pleasant April 9 with an escort of around 30 motorcycles, more than a dozen trucks and other vehicles, as well as a big rig carrying materials that will make up the 375-foot exhibit.

The escort started in south Peoria at Pioneer Community Park and traveled northbound on 83rd Avenue to Lake Pleasant Parkway, and then Carefree Highway to 87th Avenue. The parade's final destination was Pleasant Harbor, where the exhibit will be constructed.

The opening ceremony is 9 a.m. April 11, and will run through April 14.
