ALS Arizona's annual Walk ALS fundraiser is set for Nov. 2 at the Salt River Fields, 7555 N Pima Road, in Scottsdale. Check in begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. There is no cost to join. Walkers join up then seek donations from the community for their efforts. Anyone who donates $100 gets a free t-shirt.

ALS, ofter referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, causes damage to motor neurons in the brain, which causes progressive weakness.
