Wagon Wheel Road alignment may be extinguished

Apache Junction City Council on Feb. 7 is to consider removing a federal patent easement for the Wagon Wheel Road alignment from Cactus Wren Street to Scenic Street for the purpose of future development.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

The current setbacks are to remain in place until utility easements are extinguished. Wagon Wheel Road in that section is unpaved, Project Engineer Raquel Schatz said at the council’s Jan. 17 meeting.
