Recently updated vote tallies show very little change in the Queen Creek Unified School District’s $98 million bond proposal and the continuance of a 15% maintenance and operations budget override. Both are losing.
In the bond election, updated numbers find that 60.42%, or 7,104 residents, cast their votes against the school bond. By comparison, there are 4,654 “yes” votes at just more than 39.58%.
Voters are also saying “no” to the budget continuation override, but so far, the gap is not as wide as that of the bond vote. The district’s budget override continuation has 6,549 “no” votes at 56.4%, while the “yes” vote is 5,062 at 43.6%.
