Voter ID letter light on facts

Sun City resident: fraud campaign stems from 2020 loss

OPINION — Tom Slade’s recent letter on voter ID is very light on facts, in my opinion.

The conservative Heritage Foundation found fewer than 140 examples of voter fraud in the 2020 election. In Arizona, our legislature used tax dollars to try to prove Biden did not win the election, only to discover Biden beat Trump by even more votes than previously counted.

Millions of Americans do not have birth or citizenship papers. Reasons are they never had them, lost then in floods or fires. It’s expensive to get new documents —  $50 to $90 for a birth certificate or driver’s license, and access to get new documentation is limited in rural areas.
