Twenty trees are ready for planting Saturday at Arredondo Park in Tempe.
Keep Tempe Beautiful’s Tree-A-Thon will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 1, at the park, 1302 E. Carson Drive.
Volunteers are needed, and Keep Tempe Beautiful will provide the tools and planting instructions.
“All we need from you is your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty,” event organizers said in a release.
“Planting trees not only enhances the beauty of our city but also helps to reduce the carbon footprint and combat climate change.”
Gloves will be provided, but participants should bring water and wear sturdy shoes.
