The Pinal County Board of Supervisors has approved a motion that will allow a volunteer fire department to receive notification of fires in unincorporated areas south of Florence.
At today’s meeting, the board authorized the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the South Florence Volunteer Fire Department, “to provide courtesy notification of fire related calls to the Pinal County 911 System.”
The move comes after a home burned down in an area last month.
