Three years later, Bill Hicks returned from World War II and they were married on Nov. 16, 1947. Vivian helped with the family farm and cattle operation NE of Buhl, Idaho. She almost always caught the most fish and usually beat Bill at cards and pool. In the 70's, Vivian and Bill took up the motor home life, traveling the United States. Eventually, they became snowbirds, living part time in Sun Flower Resort in Surprise, and part-time in Buhl, Idaho. In 1996, Vivian and Bill sold the farm and moved to the Moon Glo Senior Estates in Buhl, Idaho. They also bought a duplex in Sun City West.
