Vitality Bowls Superfood Café opened in Gilbert on Aug. 12 at 2438 S. Recker Road, Ste. 102, Gilbert, in the Verde at Cooley Station development. The health-foods eatery offers smoothies, açaí bowls, juices and other food options.
The California-based restaurant was created in response to founders Roy Gilad and Tara Gilad's daughter, who had severe food allergies. According to the franchise's website, the Gilad family wanted to create healthy superfood options in a kitchen designed to combat issues such as cross-contamination of common allergens.
All menu items are created fresh to order, per the website, and do not use preservatives.
