Virus to nix Surprise meeting attendance again

Public not allowed at council, board meetings Dec. 1

Surprise public meetings will be closed to the public again, starting Tuesday, Dec. 1.

City Manager Mike Frazier told the Surprise City Council on Nov. 17 that the recent spike in COVID-19 numbers in Surprise and Maricopa County is forcing the decision.

“We need to make sure that we protect our staff and protect our citizens and we can start here at home by doing that,” Mr. Frazier said.
