Viewpoint Lake drain slows down in Sun City

The expected target for full drainage of Viewpoint Lake was pushed back.

Pacific Awuadscapes and Recreation Centers of Sun City officials had hoped the lake would be fully drained by the end of September, but now it appears more likely that won’t happen until mid-October.

However, that still puts it within their working schedule, as that called for full drainage by mid to late October. Once that is achieved, work will begin in the lake bottom removing the concrete bank, sludge and other items there in preparation for removing the old liner.
