While it may be hard to tell day-to-day, but Sun City’s Viewpoint Lake is slowly draining in preparation for repair of the lining.
Aquascape officials predict the lake should be fully drained by the end of September unless monsoon rains slow the progress. Monsoon rain fell in the Valley July 16-17, but the precipitation in Sun City was relatively low.
Aquascape and Recreation Centers of Sun City officials began meeting with individual homeowners in mid-July to explain what work is anticipated on their properties. Those meetings will continue through August as the lake continues to drain.
