Valley philanthropist and Town of Paradise Valley resident Vicki Vaughn has been appointed as the honorary chair for the upcoming Runway for Research. The event, presented by TGen Foundation in collaboration with Neiman Marcus and Scottsdale Fashion Square, takes place 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The annual event unites the community, celebrates women’s cancer survivorship, and inspires hope while raising critical funds for women’s cancer research at TGen, part of City of Hope. Runway for Research features a morning of fashion, refreshments, and luxury raffles, culminating in a fashion show presented by Neiman Marcus.
Vaughn has played a pivotal role in the event's success since its inception. Initially called Key to the Cure and focused on breast cancer research, she served on the committee in 2010 and co-chaired the event in 2011 and 2012. In 2020, the event was renamed Runway for Research and its scope expanded to cover a wider range of women’s cancer research. Vaughn chaired the event in both 2020 and 2022.
“I would like to highlight the remarkable dedication of this year's co-chairs, Beth McRae and Justine Hurry, alongside the incredible committee, Neiman Marcus, Scottsdale Fashion Square, the McRae family and numerous other generous sponsors,” said Vaughn. “The collective support ensures the success of this year's endeavor, and I extend an invitation to everyone to join us for what promises to be an exceptional occasion.”
