Fans with an inspirational story will be announcing selections on behalf of their favorite teams at the upcoming NFL Draft, and the Arizona Cardinals have turned to a veteran to do the honors.
The draft goes from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29. In the first three rounds the Cardinals will draft, respectively, the third, 34th and 66th picks.
Among the Day 3 picks, the Cardinals will have their selection announced by Craig Palm, of the Wounded Warrior Project. The WWP offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or co-incident to their military service. Military family members and caregivers are also eligible for programs.
Palm enlisted in 1999 as an infantryman and was stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas. He had tours in Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, Turkey and Iraq throughout his 18 years of service on active and reserve, including Army, Air Force and National Guard.
In his free time, Palm loves spending time with his family, traveling, barbequing, golfing, and playing billiards. He has been involved with WWP since 2016. The organization's physical health and wellness programs, peer support groups, and alumni events help him remain active after service.
Palm and other individuals will take the stage and announce NFL draft picks throughout the three-day celebration in front of thousands of fans.
