Veteran comes to Queen Creek to discuss his life as a Naval airman in World War II

No young man would want the 20s Jack Holder had. On the other hand, not many young men would have proven as lucky, skillful and brave.

Holder, an author and World War II veteran, was speaking about his wartime experiences at the Old Ellsworth Brewery in Queen Creek recently and to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Midway.

The Sun Lakes resident also was promoting his book, “Fear, Adrenaline, and Excitement.” Holder, who turns 100 in December, writes about his experiences in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters while in the U.S. Navy.
