Vet Fest is next Surprise celebration

Mark Coronado Park to host initial event on Feb. 10

Posted

The city of Surprise is offering the community a chance to celebrate veterans at the inaugural Vet Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

This fun-filled evening offers those who have served, are currently serving, or are looking to serve in the military a chance to connect and learn about the support and resources available to veterans.

Resources will be grouped together and will range from government affairs with service providers from the federal, state and local levels, to membership organizations and non-membership organizations with a veteran focus.

Attendees will be able to connect with one another and with service providers while enjoying music, food, static displays and more.

This event is for all ages, and military families and supporters are encouraged to attend.

Vet Fest is a part of Surprise’s ongoing mission to be a Veteran-friendly city.

It is hosted by the Surprise Veterans, Disability and Human Services Commission with support from title sponsor America’s Mighty Warriors and stage sponsor Ottawa University-Arizona.
