Phoenix’s Venture Café program, which connects public and private groups to develop innovative idea, recently received a worldwide award.
Venture Café has chapters across the U.S., one in Mexico and several in Asia and Europe. Venture Café Phoenix was recognized as the “most advancing and forward-moving Venture Café in the world,” Michael Hammett, who leads Phoenix’s Office of Innovation, told a subcommittee last week.
Venture Café Phoenix hosts an event every Thursday, either a seminar about business or technology or a networking event, mostly at the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation, 850 N. Fifth St. However, it is now closed for the summer.
