Three trucks and a trailer costing a total of $282,000 are being purchased for the Apache Junction Water Utilities Community Facilities District.

The district board, comprised of city council members, voted unanimously recently to approve purchasing one standard LX diesel-VMT single turner valve maintenance trailer and accessories for $102,442 from Balar Holding Corp.; and one new replacement 2023 Ford F-250 regular cab truck and two new 2023 Ford F-250 regular cab trucks for $180,000 from a state of Arizona contract and accessories from a Mohave contract.

The district’s valve-turning trailer is about 15 years old and will continue to be used, Water District Director Mike Loggins said at the district board’s Aug. 16 meeting.
