Vehicle set on fire near library, Mesa police said

A vehicle was set on fire July 21 near a public library, Mesa police said.

Officers responded to Dobson Ranch Library, 2425 S. Dobson, and contacted 25-year-old Christopher Alvarado, police said.

“Christopher told officers he was upset the vehicle would not start, so he set it on fire. The vehicle was next to multiple trees and a public library,” police said.
