The Maricopa County Special Healthcare District, operating as Valleywise Health, is presenting an $898,000,000 bond proposal to county voters in the November General Election for 2025 (Prop 409).
Valleywise Health operates the public teaching hospital in the state, the Arizona Burn Center and operates behavioral health and primary care centers across the Valley. There are 15 Valleywise facilities in Maricopa County.
According to information provided by the healthcare district board of directors, the bond authority is sought to keep up with the demands of increasing population and replacement or improvement to existing aging facilities.
