Valley woman given 22.5-year total sentence for domestic violence crimes

A Valley woman was sentenced to a total of 22.5 years in prison for counts of sexual assault and aggravated assault through domestic violence against her girlfriend.
Christina Delores Albert was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for one count of sexual assault and domestic violence and a concurrent 7.5 years for one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
The incidents involved what prosecutors said was repeated sexual and physical abuse against Albert’s girlfriend between May and June 2023.

A Valley woman was sentenced to a total of 22.5 years in prison for counts of sexual assault and aggravated assault through domestic violence against her girlfriend.
Christina Delores Albert was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for one count of sexual assault and domestic violence and a concurrent 7.5 years for one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
The incidents involved what prosecutors said was repeated sexual and physical abuse against Albert’s girlfriend between May and June 2023.
“Domestic violence is a serious crime that will not be tolerated in Arizona,” said Attorney General Mayes.
Albert was charged with eight counts initially before pleading guilt on Sept. 25. She was sentenced Nov. 4 and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
The indictment highlights multiple instances of sexual assault, restraining and choking the victim, and using a a knife to threaten her. The indictment also states Albert had removed a court-ordered electronic monitoring device during some the course of some of the assaults.
