Valley View Community Food Bank has been a staple for the Northwest Valley for nearly two decades, but it is still a month away from moving into its true home.
In January 2024 the food bank bought the former Wells Fargo Bank branch location at 10733 W. Peoria Ave., in Sun City to build its new headquarters there. The former bank is across a breezeway from Valley View’s current main building of five years at 10771 W. Peoria Ave., Sun City.
Founder and president Jesse Ramirez said this is the first building the food bank owns in its nearly 18 years of existence. The plan is to open the new headquarters in mid-March and add two hours of operation on every weekday.
