Tech leaders going full throttle to advance chip industry

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs announced a new partnership between ADOSH and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. Arizona to work on “cooperative solutions to the problems of construction worker safety and health.” An effort to attract semiconductor suppliers to the Valley is ongoing.

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego hopes her overseas business trip during the summer will help to bolster the Valley’s already rising semiconductor industry.

Gallego, who went to Taiwan, Japan and South Korea in July, said the trip was meant to “attract and support” semiconductor suppliers from those countries.

The July trip was her second trek overseas to try to bring back business to the Valley of the Sun.
