Valley should see rainfall this week

‘Best chances’ start Tuesday

Odds are looking good the Valley will see rainfall this week.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms are gradually increasing, as signs start to roll in as early as Monday night, according to the National Weather Service’s Tempe office, with the “best chances” kicking in Tuesday and through end of the week.

“We could see some storms even trying to penetrate the Valley — some of them locally heavy, for example Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening,” National Weather Service meteorologist James Sawtelle said Monday.
