Valley nonprofits set Friday focus on Tempe Bashas’
Ten Valley nonprofits remain in the running for a $50,000 donation from Bashas’ on Friday as part of the company’s 90th anniversary celebration.
The winning nonprofit in the Community Choice Charity Challenge will be announced during an event from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the Bashas’ at McClintock Drive and Warner Road in Tempe.
Bashas’ invited shoppers across Arizona in July to cast votes for their favorite charities, drawing from a list of the 32 beneficiaries that Bashas’ has recognized as 2022 Charity of the Month organizations.

Ten Valley nonprofits remain in the running for a $50,000 donation from Bashas’ on Friday as part of the company’s 90th anniversary celebration.
The winning nonprofit in the Community Choice Charity Challenge will be announced during an event from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the Bashas’ at McClintock Drive and Warner Road in Tempe.
Bashas’ invited shoppers across Arizona in July to cast votes for their favorite charities, drawing from a list of the 32 beneficiaries that Bashas’ has recognized as 2022 Charity of the Month organizations.
Voting spanned four, two-week phases, during which members of the community could vote for the charity they believed to be most deserving of additional funds. A select number of nonprofits with the most votes advanced to the next phase.

Arizona Humane Society
Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center
C4 Foundation
Child Crisis Arizona
HonorHealth Foundation
Northern Arizona Healthcare
Ronald McDonald House Charities’ of Central and Northern Arizona and of Southern Arizona
