Valley native Jacob Adler recently won first place at the 2025 Runway AI Film Festival with his short film that uses AI‑generated visuals to mathematically explore and visualize every possible digital image — real, imagined or abstract.
The festival, launched in 2022 by the New York-based AI startup Runway, celebrates the next frontier of filmmaking through AI-generated and AI-assisted short films.
Adler’s film is entitled “Total Pixel Space,” a nine-and-a-half-minute film that explores the vast number of possible images that can be created using just two variables: color bit depth and pixel resolution.
