Valley municipalities: How much parking to require in new builds?

Cities have different regulatory and innovative approaches

Imagine your apartment complex not having at least one parking space for every unit in the complex.

That’s become the case in some Valley cities, including Chandler, particularly in some of the most high-density, built-out parts of the city.

But parking has become a challenge to tackle for some cities, with some pushing forward cutting spaces at multifamily developments hoping people will adopt other transit options, while other cities that cut parking aren't seeing those benefits -- at least not yet.
