Valley mired in ‘non-soon’

Lack of rain noticeable for summer months

This year’s monsoon season is turning into a non-soon.

Monsoon season — which typically runs from June 15 to Sept. 30 — looks almost like it’s faking out Valley residents as not much of the wet stuff has fallen so far this summer.

On July 18, Valley temps reached at least 110 degrees for the 19th consecutive day — breaking a record last set nearly 50 years ago — on June 29, 1974.
