Valley Metro is gearing up for changes to bus and light rail service to coincide with the opening of the Northwest Extension Phase II this week.
Light rail will be extended 1.6 miles with three new stations beyond Dunlap/19th Avenue. Bus routes that currently serve the Metrocenter Transit Center will move to the new Thelda Williams Transit Center.
Additional service changes will occur on Jan. 22 and 29.
Now in effect:
- Route 186 — Union Hills Drive/Mayo Blvd: Route remains on Mayo Blvd. and no longer serves the Mayo Clinic
- Routes 0A, 3, 12, 15, 28, 30, 41, 52, 61, 62, 77, 104, 106, 136 and 156: schedule adjustments
Taking effect at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27:
- Routes 27, 35, 90 and 106 will transition from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center
- Light rail: New schedule and new stations at 25th Avenue/Dunlap, Mountain View/25th Avenue and Metro Parkway
Taking effect Monday, Jan. 29:
- I-17 RAPID will transition to serve the Thelda Williams Transit Center. The final day to serve the Metrocenter Transit Center is Friday, Jan. 26.
