A Maricopa County man was sentenced to six years in prison earlier this week after pleading guilty to charges of drug trafficking.
Cesar Penaloza received the sentence after selling drugs including methamphetamine and fentanyl powder to an undercover informant, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
The charges stemmed from three drug sales Penaloza made to the informant between August and October 2025. On August 29, 2025, Penaloza sold the informant four pounds of methamphetamine for $4,200, according to the AG’s office. On Sept. 3, 2025, he sold a quarter kilogram of cocaine for $4,500. And on Oct. 1, 2025, Penaloza agreed to sell a kilogram of fentanyl powder, a kilogram of cocaine, and ten pounds of methamphetamine for $39,000.
