Valley man indicted for child sex trafficking, assault

A Valley man was indicted on four crimes related to child sex trafficking and prostitution based out of Phoenix.

Dennis Mitchell Jr., 41, was indicted after being arrested by Glendale Police last month following an investigation, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Officials say the investigation started after a 14-year-old girl told police she had been staying at a hotel with Mitchell in a room they used for prostitution along a stretch of 27th Avenue between Indian School and Northern Avenue, according to a press release.

Valley man indicted for child sex trafficking, assault

A Valley man was indicted on four crimes related to child sex trafficking and prostitution based out of Phoenix.

Dennis Mitchell Jr., 41, was indicted after being arrested by Glendale Police last month following an investigation, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Officials say the investigation started after a 14-year-old girl told police she had been staying at a hotel with Mitchell in a room they used for prostitution along a stretch of 27th Avenue between Indian School and Northern Avenue, according to a press release.

The girl told police she left to get help after Mitchell hit her during an argument. Another woman was also found with Mitchell in the room and was reported to be rescued by police, according to the release.

Mitchell was indicted on one count each of child sex trafficking, aggravated assault, pandering and receiving earnings of prostitution. He is being held on $150,000 bail, and a trial is set for April 2026.
