Valley food banks show concern for SNAP hits from Trump’s 'Big, Beautiful Bill'

Marlein Iglesias has been coming to Nourish Phoenix since 2017. She is one of the dozens of volunteers who assist with food distribution, while also receiving resources herself.

Iglesias is just one of the more than 300 guests and dozens of volunteers that come to Nourish Phoenix during the week. Many are women and young children.

Emma Medina is a mother with a household of eight people, including her husband who was recently laid off. She started receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding last year after four months of unemployment.
