Gilbert filmmaker Justin Rose and longtime collaborator Chris Studenka from Scottsdale proved with “Run Rabbit” that they could make an award-winning feature with little money and a tiny crew.
For their follow-up, they decided to make something substantially bigger.
“Down Radical,” written and directed by Rose, has about twice as many actors, nearly three times the scenes and more than three times the locations of “Run Rabbit.” It was filmed entirely in Arizona, with Rose and Studenka handling virtually the entire production themselves.
