Valley could see record high heat for Easter weekend

All-time records definitely within reach

Easter Weekend is likely to bring some record high temperatures to the Valley.

The hot stuff starts April 1 when the city of Glendale looks to reach its first 90-degree mark of the season with a forecast high of 94, according to Isaac Smith, meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Phoenix office. Same for Friday, but the real heat comes by the weekend, as Easter arrives Sunday.

The forecast high for Phoenix on Saturday is 97, which would tie the all-time record for April 3, set in 1943.
