Valley car dealers see supply shrink amid chip shortage

Local car dealerships are feeling the squeeze in getting new cars into the after shortages in microchips are effecting the amount of vehicles that land on Valley lots.

Some Valley car salesmen recently said their inventory stock has been diminished due to chip shortages.

At one East Valley dealership, the manufacturer canceled one of its June orders because of a slowdown in production caused by the shortage. The dealership went from a 90-day inventory supply to about a 40-day inventory supply.
