Uncertainty looms over whether some Valley businesses will be held to a standard by a federal vaccine mandate that requires workers to get vaccinated or get weekly tests by Jan. 4.
On Tuesday, the Biden administration asked a federal court to let it move ahead with a workplace rule that would require employees at larger companies to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or face weekly testing, according to the Associated Press.
The Associated Press said U.S. Department of Justice lawyers claim the mandate is needed to reduce transmission of the virus in workplaces. The report said the virus inflicts “grievous harms” on workers.
