Valley blues man earns Blues Music Awards nomination

Bob Corritore up for Blues Foundation’s top harmonica player honor

The biggest night in blues music will again celebrate the Phoenix blues scene.

The Blues Foundation announced its nominees for the 2026 Blues Music Awards, and longtime Valley blues man Bob Corritore is nominated for a familiar award. The owner of The Rhythm Room is nominated in the Instrumentalist-Harmonica category, his fifth such nomination from the Memphis-based Blues Foundation, dedicated to preserving blues heritage and celebrating blues recording and performing.

He’s nominated alongside Billy Branch, Brandon Santini, John Nemeth and Kim Wilson.
