Valley-based restaurant chain raises $169K for pancreatic cancer research

Babbo Italian Eatery raised $169,255 for pancreatic cancer research during its fifth annual “Baseball for Babbo” Day of Giving.

The Scottsdale-based restaurant group donated 100% of profits from its seven Phoenix-area locations during the one-day event to the Seena Magowitz Foundation, which supports clinical research at the HonorHealth Research Institute.

Matching contributions of up to $50,000 each were pledged by the Pollack family and Roger E. Magowitz, founder of the Seena Magowitz Foundation.
