The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for a closure on U.S. Highway 60 Superstition Freeway in Mesa for pavement rehabilitation beginning Friday, Feb. 17.

Closures and restrictions include:

• Eastbound US60 between Higley Road and Loop 202 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20.
• The eastbound US60 on-ramps at Val Vista Drive and Greenfield Road also will be closed.
• Eastbound US60 between Loop 101 and Country Club Drive will have nightly lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday, Feb. 22, through the morning of Friday, Feb. 24.
• Westbound US60 between Greenfield and Gilbert roads will have lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, through 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

Detours: Drivers can consider using Southern Avenue or Broadway Road to connect with their destinations north of US60 and Baseline or Guadalupe roads south of US60.

Upcoming restrictions/closures:

• Westbound US60 between Val Vista and Country Club drives will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27.
• Westbound US60 on-ramps at Greenfield and Higley roads also will be closed.

The pavement improvement work along 14 miles of US 60 will occur over several months and will require numerous closures. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
