A jobs fair is scheduled Thursday, Feb. 16, in Phoenix to fill immediate openings for mail handlers, letter carriers and retail associates, the U.S. Postal Service announced.

The fair will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Harmon Branch Library, 1325 South 5th Ave.

USPS personnel will provide detailed information about the positions, answer questions and walk future employees through the application process, according to a release.

Starting pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour depending on the position. All positions come with paid time off, holiday pay and healthcare benefits, USPS officials said.

Applications are also accepted online at www.usps.com/careers.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
