With unemployment rates low, a local workforce development group is focusing not just on getting unemployed Valley residents working but getting employed residents better jobs.
The workforce development network Arizona@Work plans to focus more on “upskilling” workers to fill in-need, higher-paying jobs. That’s according to the group’s draft plan for the Phoenix area for 2025-28, which is routinely updated every four years.
A public feedback process for the plan ended earlier this month, and the Phoenix Economic Development and Housing Subcommittee approved the plan during its Oct. 9 meeting.
