Surprise woman charged in fatal Goodyear shooting

June 28 shooting led to the death of a 50-year-old man

Goodyear police apprehended a suspect in the Tuesday shooting death of 50-year-old Luis Rene Duarte at his home in Goodyear near 167th and Hilton avenues.

Dulcenia Edwards, 48, of Surprise was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and faces one count of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

Her bail is set at $1 million.
