Peoria Police announced that Stanley Callahan, 82, who had been reported missing last month, has been located and was found dead.
Peoria Police were notified of a suspicious circumstance in the wash area near the 8700 block of north Desert Harbor Drive on April 16 at about 12:45 p.m.
Police said Callahan was found dead at that site.
Police are handling the death investigation. However, there does not appear to be any foul play or any suspicious circumstances. There are no suspects in custody and there are no suspects being sought, police said.
Previous to being missing, Callahan was last seen April 7, between 8-9 a.m., when he left his residence near the area of 91st Avenue and Thunderbird Road. He left on foot and according to family members had several medical conditions that required medication. Police said Callahan did not take his medication with him when he left.
