Update: ‘Minor’ changes to The Goldwater suffice Scottsdale mayor

Request for formal review into recent approval disregarded

The mayor of Scottsdale changed his mind about asking for City Council to initiate a formal review into a recent development review board decision, citing minor changes made by the applicant prior to the request.

Ortega cited a lack of covered walkways, shading requirements and a cantilevering feature on top of a 70-foot building as reasons he sought to overturn the DRB’s 6-1 June 2 vote.
