Glendale will discuss water plan specifics at workshop

For years, the city of Glendale has prepared for a reduction in its water allocation from its Colorado River basin allocation.

Now city officials have a specific number to attach to the cutbacks discuss with the Glendale City Council at its Oct. 13 workshop.

This summer, the Federal  Bureau of Reclamation set new guidelines for Lake Powell and Lake Mead operations include operating rules, emergency action parameters, and modeled shortage protections. Glendale is required to reduce its CAP order by 4,000 acre-feet in 2027, according to the new guidelines.
