Thirteen miles of US 93 near Wikieup have been repaved, providing what state transportation officials said will be a smoother ride between the Valley and Las Vegas.
The Arizona Department of Transportation on Tuesday announced the completion of the project that began last spring. It included repaved roadway and shoulders along with designated crossovers between mileposts 131-144.
Bridge joints and seals were put in place and new guardrail and drainage features were installed along the project zone. Safety features such as ground-in rumble strips were also put in along the highway, according to ADOT.
