An "accidental" chemical spill Friday morning inside a West Valley medical clinic sent three people to a hospital, Buckeye authorities said.
Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue Department and units from partner agencies responded about 10 a.m. July 10 to a first alarm hazardous materials incident in a medical clinic at 20640 W. Roosevelt St., authorities said.
“The incident was caused by the accidental spill of approximately 1 liter of phenol, a chemical that is both toxic and flammable, inside the medical clinic. Firefighters immediately isolated the affected area, established a hazardous materials group and implemented specialized hazardous materials response procedures,” a release from the department stated.
