Holiday season car crashes decline in Glendale from prior year

2 crashes from Dec. 19-Jan. 4 were fatal

According to data from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety pulled by the Glendale Police Department, the city had significantly fewer vehicle-related accidents this holiday season than the same period a year ago.

For the purposes of this story, the holiday season is defined as Dec. 19, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026, with the prior year statistics from Dec. 19, 2024 to Jan. 4, 2025.

The holiday period just past saw 203 total crashes in Glendale, compared to 263 in the same span a year ago. Two of this year's accidents were fatal, compared to one in the 2024-25 holidays.
