OPINION — I have some concern regarding the timeline for fixing the issue of traffic by 2028.
We are seeing weekly and sometimes daily accidents. New-home communities are being completed and we have been advised new bungalow communities and apartment complexes are going to be added, which could make it worse before it gets better. Lives are being lost.
One of my biggest concerns is the intersection at 163rd and Grand. Coming from Sun City West to Surprise on Grand, I noticed that after crossing 163rd there is a very short merge opportunity as the right lane ends.
