Overnight election returns show Stephanie Simacek and Paul Carver leading the group of four candidates vying for two open seats on the Deer Valley Unified School District’s Governing Board.
According to the Maricopa County Elections Department, as of 2 a.m. Wednesday morning:
Stephanie Simacek leads all candidates with 27,363 votes, or 28%.
Paul Carver is running second with 24,755 votes, or 26%.
Tony Bouie is running third with 23,395 votes, or 23%.
Craig Beckman is in a virtual tie for third with 22,130 votes, or 23%.
